Atlantis Google Group

Option 2: Ask the Bs:

If you need to ask Bec or Beth for help please try to provide the following information:

  1. The name of the model.

  2. What is the problem you are having with your model?

    • Please try to keep this short and clear - think 20 words or less.
    • If the model is crashing please include the error message or a screen shot.
  3. How many days do we have to run the model for before we will see the problem?

    • Ideally this will not be 100 years - the shorter run time the faster we can help you.
    • Perhaps think about how you can replicate the problem earlier in your model run
  4. What version of the code are you using?

    • What is the code URL? Trunk, bec_dev etc
    • If possible please try to include the version number - this will be at the top of any log files created.
  5. Please send us your model files:

    • Include all of the files - input forcing netcdf files, ts files etc.
    • Let us know what command line arguments we should use - you can provide this in an email or include a script file.
    • Don’t include 20G worth of output - if some output files are relevant then please include but the more we have to download the longer it will take for help to arrive
  6. If suitable please document the question/answer on the Atlantis FAQ page.
